Survive the Burning Phase When Mobs and Players Ignite

Know When Danger Peaks

On Day 7+, both you and mobs burn when exposed to sunlight. Fire damage is multiplied by 5x when you're susceptible, making even brief exposure lethal. Plan all daytime activities with this in mind.

Stay Indoors During the Day

The safest strategy is to remain underground or in fully roofed structures during daylight hours. If you must go outside, wear armor and carry healing items like food or potions. Move quickly between covered areas.

Use Caves and Tunnels

Tunnel networks connecting your base to distant locations let you travel safely underground. This is essential for gathering resources, exploring, and reaching other bases without burning.

Prepare Night Operations

Shift your work schedule to nighttime when possible. Mine, farm, and explore after sunset. Use torches and lanterns to navigate safely in darkness, and return to shelter before dawn.

Stock Healing Items

Keep stacks of food, healing potions, and milk buckets in your inventory. If you accidentally catch fire, these can save your life. Milk buckets are especially valuable for removing status effects.
