Make Wool Slabs for Layered Builds
Preparing Your Materials
Shear sheep or craft wool from string to gather three blocks of the same color. You can make slabs from any of the sixteen standard Minecraft wool colors.
Crafting Wool Slabs
Place three wool blocks in a horizontal row across the middle of your crafting table—any three adjacent spaces in a single row will work. This produces wool slabs that are half the height of a full block.
Using Slabs Creatively
Wool slabs are ideal for creating soft carpets across multiple levels, adding detail to furniture, or building layered roofs without using full-height blocks. Stack two slabs vertically to fill a single block space, or place them at different heights to create depth. Mix slab colors to build patterns and designs. Slabs can be placed on top of or below other blocks, giving you flexibility in how you layer your builds.
