Design a Colorful Wool Roof
Planning Your Roof Layout
Decide on your color scheme before you start gathering materials. Consider using a gradient (light to dark), complementary colors, or a repeating pattern. Sketch your design on paper or in Creative mode to visualize how colors will flow across the roof.
Gathering Materials
Collect wool blocks in each color you've chosen. Wool stairs work best for sloped roofs, while slabs are better for flat or layered designs. Gather extra material—it's easier to have surplus than to run short mid-build.
Building the Roof
Start at one edge and place wool stairs or slabs in your planned pattern, working toward the opposite side. Stairs create natural slopes and look especially soft when arranged in color gradients. Slabs allow for more intricate layering and detail work. Step back frequently to check how your colors look together from a distance. Adjust placement as needed to achieve the visual effect you want.
