How to Craft and Place a Snowy Tent

Getting the Materials

To build a tent you first need the mod's tent item, which is crafted from common early-game materials. Gather the fabric-like components the mod uses (typically wool or similar cloth items) plus wooden sticks for the frame. Open your crafting grid and arrange the ingredients in the shape the recipe book shows — if you have JEI or REI installed, search "tent" to see the exact layout instantly.

Placing the Tent

Hold the tent item and right-click on a flat, open patch of ground. The tent will deploy as a multi-block structure in front of you. Make sure you have at least a few blocks of clearance on all sides, since the tent occupies more than one block of space. If placement fails, the ground is likely uneven or obstructed — clear snow layers, tall grass, or blocks first.

Entering and Using It

Walk into the tent's opening to step inside. The interior acts as a small shelter where you can place a bed, chest, or crafting table. This is the key survival benefit: in cold biomes you get a windbreak and a safe spot to sleep through the night without mobs reaching you. Break the tent by mining any of its blocks to pick the whole structure back up and carry it to your next campsite.
