Set up a redstone-powered sugarcane farm

Basic Setup

Create a sugarcane farm that grows faster by powering Snad blocks with redstone signals.

Steps:

1. Craft Snad blocks by combining two sand blocks in your crafting grid.

2. Place Snad blocks in rows where you want sugarcane to grow.

3. Plant sugarcane on top of the Snad blocks as you would on normal sand or dirt.

4. Run redstone wire, repeaters, or other redstone components adjacent to or beneath the Snad blocks.

Powering the Farm

Each redstone pulse triggers one growth stage for crops on that Snad block. To maximize growth speed:

  • Use a redstone clock (repeaters in a loop) to send continuous pulses to your Snad blocks
  • Place the clock near your farm so the signal reaches all blocks
  • Adjust repeater delays to control how frequently growth is triggered

The more often your Snad blocks receive pulses, the faster your sugarcane will mature. Experiment with clock speeds to find the balance between growth rate and lag.
