Which Screens Are Affected by Smooth Scrolling
The short answer
The mod hooks into Minecraft's scrolling list and container widgets, so anywhere the game uses a standard scrollable list, the smooth animation applies. You do not need to enable it per screen — it works globally once the mod is loaded.
Screens you will notice it on
- Chat: scrolling back through message history glides instead of jumping.
- Inventory and container screens: moving through large inventories, chests, and similar containers feels fluid.
- Creative inventory: the tabbed item list is one of the most obvious places to feel the difference, since the lists are long.
- Server and world selection lists: flicking through many entries animates rather than snapping.
- Other list-based GUIs: any modded or vanilla screen that uses the standard list widget inherits the effect automatically.
Where it will not apply
Screens that do not use Minecraft's standard scrolling widget — for example, a custom-drawn interface from another mod that implements its own scrolling — may ignore the effect entirely. The same goes for anything that is not a scrollable list, such as sliders or drag handles.
If a screen feels wrong
Because the effect is global, you cannot currently exclude individual screens. If one particular list feels too slow, the practical fix is to lower the animation speed in the config so every screen becomes snappier, rather than trying to target one screen at a time.
