How to Disable Smooth Scrolling and Restore Vanilla Scrolling
Why you might want to turn it off
Smooth scrolling is a motion effect, and some players find the eased animation distracting, disorienting, or simply slower than they want when navigating large lists quickly. If you would rather have the original instant, stepped scrolling back, you can turn the mod's effect off without uninstalling anything.
Turning the animation off
Open the mod list from the main menu, find Smooth Scrolling, and open its config. The animation speed slider controls the effect. Setting it to the lowest possible value makes scrolling instant again, which is effectively the same as vanilla behaviour — the animation no longer has any visible duration.
If your build of the mod exposes a separate on/off toggle, you can use that instead; either route gets you the same result. Save or apply the config when you are done.
Confirming the change
Open any screen with a scrollable list and spin the mouse wheel. With the animation disabled, the list should jump directly to its new position with no glide in between. If you still see easing, re-open the config and check that the value actually saved — some config screens only commit when you press the confirm button rather than when you close the window.
