How to Use Head Jumps and Wall Jumps to Reach High Ledges
What a Head Jump Does
A head jump is a boosted jump performed while your head is against a ceiling or overhang. Instead of a normal jump, the mod converts your upward momentum into a stronger launch, letting you reach ledges that a vanilla jump cannot. Position yourself directly under a low ceiling or the underside of a block, then jump. If the timing and positioning are right, you will shoot upward higher than usual.
Wall Jumps for Chaining Height
Wall jumps let you bounce between two facing surfaces to gain altitude without a floor. Jump toward a wall while airborne, and at the moment of contact press jump again to kick off it. Alternate between two parallel walls to climb a shaft. This is the fastest way to ascend a narrow chimney or a vertical cave without ladders.
Combining With Climbing
For the tallest climbs, chain wall jumps into a grab. Jump off a wall, grab the opposite surface, climb a few blocks, then wall jump again. This lets you scale surfaces that are too tall for a single jump and too awkward for pure climbing.
Tips
- Head jumps require a solid block directly above your head; open sky will not trigger them.
- Wall jumps need a wall within reach — do not jump too early or you will miss the kick.
- Practice in a flat area with two pillars before relying on this in a fight.
