How to Configure Smart Moving Reforged Keybinds and Toggles

Finding the Controls

All Smart Moving Reforged actions are bound in the standard Controls menu under a dedicated Smart Moving category. Open Options, then Controls, and scroll until you see the mod's entries. You will find separate binds for climbing/grab, crawling, sliding, and any toggle keys the mod exposes. If a key does nothing in game, it is almost always because it conflicts with a vanilla or other-mod bind.

Resolving Conflicts

Vanilla sneak and sprint are the usual culprits. If your crawl key is also sneak, you will crawl every time you crouch. Rebind either the mod action or vanilla sneak so they are distinct. The same applies to the grab key if it overlaps with a common mod key like a backpack or inventory hotkey.

Toggling Movement Modes

Some actions in the mod can be set to toggle instead of hold, which is easier for long climbs or crawls. Look for toggle options in the mod's config or in the controls list. Toggle mode means one press starts the action and another press stops it, rather than holding the key the whole time.

Tips

• Test each bind in a safe, flat area before using it in survival.
• If climbing or crawling feels unresponsive, check that the key is not being eaten by another mod's GUI key.
• Reset to defaults if you lose track of your changes, then rebind one action at a time.
