How to Stop Slimes from Stealing Your Items

Why Your Items Keep Disappearing

With SlimyBoyos installed, any slime that touches a dropped item will swallow it. That means items you drop on purpose, or items that spill from a broken chest or a mob death, can vanish into a nearby slime. If something went missing, a slime probably ate it.

1. Kill any slimes near where you lost the item. The carrier drops what it took.

2. Search the area for slimes that wandered off with your item before giving up on it.

3. Pick the drop up quickly, since it can despawn.

Preventing Future Thefts

Keep slimes away from areas where items lie on the ground. Light up and wall off your storage, crafting, and farm zones so slimes cannot spawn or wander in. If you run a mob farm or any setup that produces loose drops, add a barrier or a killing mechanism so slimes die before they can reach the loot. When you intentionally drop items to sort or trade, do it inside a fenced area with no slimes. In slime chunks, expect constant spawns, so either slab the floor to block spawning or route drops straight into hoppers so nothing sits on the ground long enough for a slime to grab it. Treat every loose item near a slime as already lost.
