Craft Slab Variants from Full Blocks

Understand the Conversion System

Many full-sized utility blocks can be converted into slab versions. One full block typically yields two slab variants. This is an efficient way to repurpose blocks you already have.

Convert Furnaces and Cartography Tables

Place a full Furnace in your crafting grid to receive two Furnace Slabs. Similarly, a Cartography Table converts into two Cartography Slabs. This 1-to-2 conversion makes it economical to switch to compact versions.

Create Note Block Slabs

Place a Note Block in your crafting grid to craft two Note Block Slabs. These work identically to full note blocks for redstone music or signal detection, but take up half the space.

Craft TNT Slabs

Arrange three TNT blocks in a row to create TNT Slabs. These explosive half-blocks are useful for compact redstone contraptions or mining operations where space is limited. They function the same as regular TNT when activated.
