Unlocking the Reworked Nether Advancements Without a Nether Portal

In a Skyblock world you usually cannot just walk to lava and light a portal, so the mod adjusts the Nether branch to be reachable through the progression you already have. The goals still reference Nether content, but the path to them is built around what an island player can produce.

What the Branch Expects

Expect nodes tied to obtaining obsidian, building and lighting a portal, and then surviving your first trip. Because obsidian is normally mined, you will need to generate it — typically by letting water flow onto a lava source in a controlled spot. Build a small mold so the water and lava meet where you want the block to form, then mine it with a diamond pickaxe.

Order of Operations

1. Secure a renewable lava source (a lava bucket from a wandering trader or a lava pool you have bridged to).

2. Set up a casting area with a water bucket and a channel so the two liquids meet at one block.

3. Collect enough obsidian for a full frame, then light it.

4. Step through and let the Nether nodes fire as you gather the blocks and mobs they ask for.

If a Nether node refuses to complete, re-read its tooltip — some require returning to the Overworld with a specific item rather than acting inside the Nether.
