Build a Complete Highway Exit Sign System
Planning Your Exit
Decide where your highway exit will branch off from the main road. Plan the sign placement in advance—typically exit signs appear 100-200 blocks before the actual exit point in real highways.
Installing Advance Warning Signs
Place yellow warning or blue informational signs on poles leading up to your exit. These should indicate the upcoming exit number and destination. Use the sign interface to add text like "Exit 5 - Downtown" or distance information.
Creating the Exit Sign Gantry
Above the actual exit lane, construct an overhead gantry using poles and large green directional signs. Mount signs showing the exit number, destination name, and directional arrows pointing toward the exit ramp. This mimics authentic highway exit signage.
Adding Ground Markings
Paint white directional arrows on the road surface leading into the exit lane. Add lane restriction markings if the exit uses dedicated lanes. Use orange arrows if the exit is temporary or under construction.
Final Details
Consider adding supplementary signs at the base of your exit ramp with turn directions and any special lane restrictions.
