Using Runes to Customize Bow Abilities

Understanding Rune Slots

Each bow can hold one rune at a time. The mod includes multiple rune types, and each bow is compatible with a specific set of four runes. This creates up to 28 different power combinations across all bows.

Installing and Replacing Runes

1. Find magic runes in world chests

2. Open an anvil

3. Place your bow in the left slot

4. Place the rune in the middle slot

5. Combine them

Unlike strings and frames, runes are removable. You can replace an old rune with a new one at any time without penalty, allowing you to experiment with different magical effects.

Previewing Rune Effects

Before applying a rune, hold Alt while hovering over it in your inventory to read its description. This shows you exactly how it will modify your bow's main ability. Test different rune combinations to find the setup that best suits your combat style and current challenges.
