Upgrading Bows with Strings and Frames at the Anvil

Gathering Upgrade Materials

Search chests throughout the world for enchanted bow strings and reinforced bow frames. These upgrade components spawn alongside the bows themselves in various structures. Collect multiple copies if you find them—you may want to upgrade several weapons.

Applying Upgrades

1. Open an anvil

2. Place your bow in the left slot

3. Place the upgrade item (string or frame) in the middle slot

4. Combine them

5. The upgraded bow appears in the result slot

Important Considerations

Upgrades are permanent—once applied, you cannot remove a string or frame. Choose your upgrades carefully and only apply them to bows you plan to use long-term.

Before committing, hold Alt while hovering over the bow in your inventory to preview exactly what each upgrade will do. This helps you understand whether the stat changes match your playstyle before making an irreversible decision.
