Crafting the Flare Gun

The flare gun is an alternative method for calling airdrops. Craft it using the mod's recipe found in your crafting menu. Unlike the radio controller, the flare gun has a more tactical feel and requires ammunition.

Using the Flare Gun

1. Equip the flare gun in your hand

2. Look toward the sky at an angle

3. Right-click to fire the flare upward

4. The flare will travel into the air and signal for a supply drop

5. A crate will fall from above shortly after

6. Collect your supplies once the crate lands

Strategy

The flare gun is useful when you want to call airdrops from a distance or in combat situations. Fire it when you need emergency supplies but want to maintain mobility. Like the radio controller, there is a cooldown between uses. The flare is visible to other players on the server, so coordinate with teammates if playing multiplayer.
