How to Make the Simplistic GUI Pack Override Other Resource Packs
Understanding Pack Order
Minecraft applies resource packs from the bottom of the Selected list upward, so the pack at the top wins any conflict. If another pack also changes GUI textures, it can hide the Simplistic GUI look. To keep the clean interface, Simplistic GUI must sit above any pack that touches the same files.
Reordering the Selected List
Open Options, then Resource Packs. On the right side you will see your active packs stacked. Drag Simplistic GUI to the very top of that stack. If your launcher does not support dragging, remove the conflicting pack, move Simplistic GUI up, then re-add the other pack below it. The order is saved per profile, so repeat this if you switch profiles.
Handling Partial Conflicts
Some packs only change a few GUI elements, like the hotbar or the container background. In that case you can leave both enabled and simply decide which look you prefer for those specific parts by adjusting the order. Test by opening the affected screen after each change. If a single element still looks blocky, that element is likely coming from a pack sitting above Simplistic GUI, so move Simplistic GUI higher and check again.
