How to Install and Enable the Simplistic GUI Resource Pack
Placing the Pack in the Correct Folder
A resource pack only works if Minecraft can find it. Open your game's resource pack folder from the in-game menu (Options, then Resource Packs, then the button that opens the folder). Drop the Simplistic GUI pack file directly into that folder without unzipping it. If you extracted the contents, the game will not detect it, so keep the archive intact.
Activating It in the Resource Pack Screen
Return to the Resource Packs menu and press the refresh button if the pack does not appear immediately. You will see it listed under Available packs on the left side. Click the arrow to move it to the Selected side on the right. The pack should now sit above the default pack in the list, because lower packs override higher ones. If you run other interface packs, drag Simplistic GUI to the top so its textures take priority.
Confirming It Applied
Press Done and open any menu, such as your inventory or the options screen. The blocky default panels should be replaced with smooth, flat surfaces. If nothing changed, check that the pack is actually enabled and not just present in the folder. Some launchers keep separate resource pack directories per profile, so make sure you placed the file in the folder belonging to the profile you are playing.
