Using a Pocket Furnace While Mining
Smelt Ore on the Go
A
pocket furnace lets you process ores immediately while mining, freeing up inventory space and letting you carry more refined materials back home.
How to Use
1. Right-click while holding your pocket furnace to open its interface
2. Place raw ore in the input slot
3. Add fuel (coal, charcoal, wood, etc.) to the fuel slot
4.
5. Collect your smelted item from the output slot
Mining Strategy
- Bring your pocket furnace and fuel when mining for iron, gold, or copper
- Smelt ores as you collect them to reduce inventory clutter
- This is especially useful in deep mining sessions where inventory space is limited
- You can also use a pocket furnace to cook food while exploring
Note
The pocket furnace works identically to a regular furnace—it just fits in your inventory. Smelting speed and fuel consumption follow standard Minecraft mechanics.
