Finding Lucky Blocks in Your World
Locating Lucky Blocks Naturally
Lucky Blocks generate randomly throughout new worlds, similar to other rare ores. They appear across all biomes and at various heights, though they're uncommon enough that you may need to explore or mine for a while to find one.
Search Strategy
The most efficient approach is strip mining at a consistent height level. Dig a long horizontal tunnel and create branches every few blocks perpendicular to your main path. This exposes more blocks per effort spent.
Alternatively, explore caves and ravines where stone is already exposed—Lucky Blocks may be visible in the walls.
Preparation Before Breaking
Before you break a
Lucky Block, clear the surrounding area of valuable items and mobs. Since outcomes range from helpful to dangerous (including explosions), you want space to react and room for drops to land safely. Consider breaking it in an open area rather than deep underground, where you might get trapped by debris or explosions.
If you're nervous about the outcome, wear protective gear and have an escape route planned. Some results are genuinely hazardous, so caution is warranted on your first encounter.
