How to Use Trait Chains for Maximum Damage Output

Understanding Trait Consumption

SilentGear Compat features trait chains where one effect triggers another. For example, Amplifying grants the amplified effect on kill, which can then be consumed by Jolt Hit to deal extra chaining damage. Similarly, Devouring leads to Volatile or Umbral Blast, and Restoration chains into Scorching or Sun Spot.

Building a Trait Chain Weapon

1. Craft or find a tool/weapon with the base trait (Amplifying, Devouring, or Restoration)

2. Combine it with a secondary material that provides the consuming trait (Jolt Hit, Volatile, Scorching, etc.)

3. Test the chain in combat: kill an enemy to trigger the base effect, then hit another mob to consume it

Optimizing Your Build

Stack multiple trait chains on different gear pieces. Wear armor with Restoration while wielding a weapon with Amplifying to maintain multiple active effects. Combine with traits like Knightly or Vorpal to increase damage output during chain triggers.
