Checking Whether Silent Lib Is the Cause of a Crash or Missing Feature

Silent Lib is a shared library, not a content mod. It adds no blocks, items, or mobs of its own. If something is broken, the cause is almost always a mod that depends on Silent Lib, not Silent Lib itself.

Confirm it is actually loaded

Start the game and open the mods list. Silent Lib should appear there. If it does not, the dependent mods (Silent Gear, Scaling Health, Silent's Gems, and others) will fail to load or crash on startup. A missing library typically produces a crash report naming the dependent mod and a NoClassDefFoundError or similar class-loading failure.

Isolate the real culprit

If the game crashes, read the crash report's top stack trace. Silent Lib classes appearing in the trace usually means a dependent mod called into the library incorrectly or a version mismatch between the library and the mod. Check that every SilentChaos512 mod you have installed expects the same Silent Lib generation.

When a feature seems missing

If a recipe or item from a dependent mod is absent, the problem is in that mod's config or its own files — Silent Lib does not gate content. Verify the dependent mod is present and enabled, then check its config. Silent Lib only supplies shared code and the sl_nbt command, so it will never be the source of missing gameplay content.
