Understanding Box Upgrades

Shulker Stuff Mod offers two protective upgrades: Hardened (blast protection) and Plated (fire and lava protection). These are applied via smithing templates found in specific structures.

Find the Templates

• Hardened Template: Search ancient cities and end cities for this template
• Plated Template: Explore treasure bastions to locate this template

Apply an Upgrade at the Smithing Table

1. Open a Smithing Table

2. Place your shulker box in the input slot

3. Place the corresponding smithing template in the template slot

4. Add the required material (check the smithing table for specifics)

5. Retrieve your upgraded box from the output slot

Duplicate Templates

Templates are rare, so you can duplicate them at the Smithing Table using diamonds and either obsidian or netherite ingot (depending on the template type). This lets you upgrade multiple boxes without finding new templates.

Protection in Action

Hardened boxes survive explosions from creepers, TNT, and other blast sources. Plated boxes won't lose contents if exposed to fire or lava, making them ideal for dangerous environments like the Nether.
