How to Switch Between First-Person and Shoulder View

Using the Default Keybind

Shoulder Surfing Reloaded adds a dedicated keybind for toggling the over-the-shoulder camera. By default this is bound to a key you can find under Options → Controls → Key Binds, listed in the Shoulder Surfing category. Press it once to snap into the shoulder view, and press it again to return to vanilla first-person. If the key conflicts with another mod, click the binding and press a new key to reassign it.

Cycling Camera Modes

Beyond the simple toggle, the mod supports multiple camera perspectives. Holding or repeatedly pressing the toggle key cycles you through the available modes — typically a left-shoulder and right-shoulder offset, plus the standard first-person view. This is useful when you want the camera on the opposite side to see around a corner or past a wall.

Checking Your Configuration

If the toggle does nothing, open the mod's config screen (usually reachable from the Mods list or a config keybind) and confirm the camera mode is not locked to a single perspective. Some setups disable the toggle entirely and force shoulder view at all times. Verify the keybind is not being swallowed by another mod that also uses that key, and test in a fresh world if the behavior seems inconsistent.
