Setting Up the Resource Pack in Your Game

Activating the Pack

1. Ensure the Shinier Tools Resource Pack file is in your resource packs folder

2. Open Minecraft and go to Settings > Resource Packs

3. Locate the Shinier Tools pack in the available list

4. Click the arrow button to move it into the active section

5. Confirm the pack appears above the vanilla resources (order matters)

6. Return to the main menu and create or load a world

Verifying It's Working

Once activated, open your inventory and examine your tools and armor. If the pack loaded correctly, you'll see:

• Brighter highlights on tool edges
• Glossy, polished textures instead of flat vanilla icons
• Enhanced metallic appearance on iron, gold, and diamond gear
• Unchanged netherite items (they stay vanilla)

Troubleshooting

If items still look flat:

• Check that the pack is positioned above the default resources
• Reload your world (exit and re-enter)
• Verify the pack file isn't corrupted by re-downloading if needed
• Ensure your Minecraft version matches the pack's compatibility
