How to Survive Titan Attacks and Avoid Being Grabbed
Reading Titan Behavior
Titans wander until they notice you, then walk or sprint toward you. Some variants move faster or grab more aggressively. The moment a Titan locks onto you, it will try to close distance and swipe. Standing still on the ground is the fastest way to die — always keep a grapple target in mind.
Defensive Habits That Keep You Alive
- Stay off the ground. Perch on walls, roofs, or trees between engagements so Titans cannot reach you easily.
- Keep your gas meter above half. If you are grabbed or cornered with no gas, you cannot escape.
- Fight one Titan at a time. Lure a single Titan away from a group before attacking.
- When grabbed, act instantly — mash the escape input and boost away the moment you are free.
- Build or use walls and towers as anchor points. High ground gives you the dive angle you need for nape hits.
If you are overwhelmed, disengage entirely. Survival matters more than one kill.
