How to Cut Leather into Strips and Sheets
Using the Sewing Station
The Sewing Station is your primary tool for processing leather. Place the station in your world and interact with it to open the cutting interface.
Cutting Leather
1. Place raw leather in the Sewing Station's input slot
2. Equip or have shears in your inventory—shears act as the cutting tool
3. Select the
leather strip or
leather sheet recipe from the available options
4. The station will process the leather into your chosen material
Leather strips and sheets are more efficient crafting materials than whole leather. Strips are typically used for smaller projects, while sheets provide larger material quantities. Different shear tiers may affect processing speed, so upgrading your shears can make batch processing faster.
Tips
Keep a dedicated shears tool near your Sewing Station for quick access. You can process multiple leather items in sequence without removing the station, making it efficient for preparing materials for armor crafting or other projects.
