Use the Ancient Vine as a Grappling Hook

Deploying the Vine

Right-click while holding the Ancient Vine to fire it toward a block or surface. The vine will latch onto solid blocks and pull you toward them. This works similarly to a grappling hook, letting you swing across gaps and reach distant platforms.

Aiming and Targeting

Aim at the block or surface you want to reach before firing. The vine travels in a straight line from your position, so aim slightly above your target for better accuracy. Solid blocks work best; avoid aiming at water or transparent blocks.

Early Reeling

If you fire the vine and realize you've missed your target or changed your mind, you can reel it back in early by pressing right-click again before it fully pulls you. This prevents you from being dragged into dangerous situations.

Mobility Applications

Use the vine to cross large bodies of water, climb cliff faces, or escape from mobs by pulling yourself to high ground. It's particularly useful in ocean biomes where the Sea Weapons Mod shines. Combine vine swings with hammer shockwaves for advanced mobility techniques.
