Setting Up Automatic Fish Catching

Fish traps are underwater devices that passively catch fish for you. Place a trap in water and feed it Rotten Flesh to activate it. The trap will automatically catch fish over time while you're away doing other activities.

Traps work best in biomes with diverse fish populations. Check your current biome to see what species might be caught. Once your trap has collected fish, retrieve them and use them for cooking, breeding, or trading.

This is an efficient way to gather fish without actively fishing, making it ideal for setting up near your base for a steady supply of aquatic resources.
