Craft or obtain a machete and equip it in your main hand. Approach a tree or dense brush area filled with connected leaf blocks. Unlike breaking leaves one at a time with your hand or sword, the machete is designed to handle multiple blocks in a single strike.

Break Connected Leaves Efficiently

Right-click or left-click on any leaf block within the dense patch. The machete will break all connected leaves in the area with one swing, clearing large sections of foliage instantly. This works on naturally generated trees and player-built structures made of leaves.

Combine with Harvesting

Use your machete to clear tree farms or prepare land for new crops. After clearing leaves, you can quickly till the exposed ground with a scythe and establish a new farming area. The machete's wide-area clearing makes it ideal for large-scale land preparation and tree farm maintenance.
