How the Infestation Works

When you encounter SCP-027, you become infested with a curse that progresses through three distinct stages. Each stage summons increasingly aggressive swarms of insects and vermin around you, making survival progressively harder.

The infestation is contagious—if an afflicted player or villager dies, nearby entities can catch the curse, spreading the phenomenon to others. This means the threat can persist and multiply across your world if not carefully managed.

Be cautious when approaching other players or villages if you suspect infestation, as contact or proximity during death may transmit the curse. Understanding this spread mechanic is key to containing SCP-027's effects.
