How to Build and Operate Defense Turrets

Crafting Turret Components

Use the GunBench to craft turret parts and bases. Gather all required materials and construct the turret assembly following the recipe provided. Different turret types offer varying firepower and coverage areas.

Placement and Setup

Place your turret base in a strategic defensive position around your base perimeter. Position turrets to cover multiple approach angles and chokepoints. Ensure they have clear sightlines to potential threats without obstruction from terrain or structures.

Loading and Activation

Load your turrets with appropriate ammunition through their inventory interface. Activate turrets using redstone signals or manual switches. Once active, turrets automatically target hostile mobs and players (depending on your settings) within their range.

Maintenance

Regularly check turret ammunition levels and refill as needed. Repair damaged turrets using the GunBench if they take damage from mob counterattacks. Consider creating an ammunition supply line using hoppers or other redstone contraptions to keep turrets continuously supplied during extended sieges.
