How to Check and Fix the Pack If Spiders Look Wrong
If the spider legs look unchanged, broken, or covered by another texture, work through these checks in order.
Verify Load Order
Open Resource Packs and look at the Selected list. Packs higher in the list override those below them. If another pack also changes spider textures, move Scary Spider Resource Pack above it, or remove the conflicting pack. Apply the change and reload the world.
Reload Without Restarting
Press F3+T to reload resources in-game. This reapplies textures without closing Minecraft. If the legs still look wrong, leave the world and re-enter, then check a spider again in a well-lit spot so you can see the leg detail clearly.
Check for Conflicts
Some packs change mob models rather than textures. If a model-changing pack is active, the new leg textures may not line up correctly. Disable other mob packs one at a time and test after each change. If you use a mod that adds new spider variants, note that this pack may only affect the vanilla spider texture, so those variants can look different.
When It Still Fails
Confirm the pack file is in the correct resourcepacks folder and that it appears in the in-game list at all. If it does not appear, the file is not being read. If it appears but does nothing, another selected pack is almost certainly overriding it.
