Farm Crops Using Plant Seeds

New Farmable Plants

Scarcity Mod adds seeds for cactus, sugar cane, and bamboo—plants that normally don't have seed items. This allows you to farm them intentionally rather than finding them scattered in the world.

Setting Up Your Farm

1. Cactus — Plant on sand blocks. Space them at least one block apart to prevent them from destroying each other. They grow upward and don't require water.

2. Sugar cane — Plant on dirt or grass adjacent to water blocks. Sugar cane grows taller when water is nearby and needs space above to expand.

3. Bamboo — Plant on dirt or grass near water. Bamboo grows very tall and quickly, especially with bone meal. Ensure you have vertical clearance.

Harvesting and Replanting

Harvest only the top portions of these plants to allow regrowth. Leave at least one block of the plant standing so it continues producing. For faster harvesting, use bone meal to speed up growth cycles.

Layout Tips

Organize each plant type in separate rows for easy management. Water channels running between rows keep all plants hydrated efficiently. This setup maximizes yield while minimizing space waste.
