Setting Up for Ore Scanning

The scanner excels at locating ore veins without strip mining. Install the Common Ores and Rare Ores modules to detect both standard and valuable underground resources.

Scanning for Ores

1. Equip your powered scanner with ore modules installed

2. Stand above or within mining depth (Y-level 0–64 for most ores)

3. Right-click to send out a scanning wave

4. Highlighted ore blocks will appear as floating markers through solid ground

5. The markers show exact positions, allowing you to mine directly to them

Efficient Mining

Use the Range module to extend your detection radius and cover more ground per scan. The live block update feature automatically removes highlights when you mine detected blocks, keeping your view clean. This eliminates guesswork and wasted pickaxe durability from blind mining. Combine scanning with a good pickaxe and Fortune enchantment for maximum resource gathering.
