Charcoal blocks are designed to solve storage problems in modpacks that lack dedicated storage mods. By compressing nine charcoal pieces into one block, you can fit significantly more charcoal into limited space.

Storage Setup

1. Craft charcoal blocks from excess charcoal using your crafting table.

2. Place blocks in chests or storage systems to organize your charcoal reserves.

3. Label or organize by type if you're storing both charcoal and coal blocks together.

Space Savings

When dealing with large quantities of charcoal from wood farms or smelting operations, blocks reduce clutter dramatically. A single chest can hold far more charcoal in block form than as individual pieces. This is particularly valuable in minimalist modpacks where you want storage without adding multiple mods.

Converting Back

When you need charcoal pieces again, simply place blocks back in a crafting table to retrieve nine pieces per block. This flexibility makes charcoal blocks a practical intermediate storage format.
