Using Save My Stronghold With Other World Generation Mods

Compatibility basics

Save My Stronghold is built to coexist with mods that alter terrain, biomes, caves, and structures. Its job is to defend the stronghold's structure from being overwritten by those generators. You generally do not need a special load order beyond keeping it installed whenever the world is generated.

Practical steps

1. Add Save My Stronghold to your mod list before creating a new world if you plan to use terrain mods like biome or cave overhauls. This ensures strongholds are protected from the first chunk generated.

2. If you add a new world-gen mod to an existing world, only newly generated chunks will reflect the combination. Existing strongholds keep whatever state they already had.

3. Test in a fresh creative world first: fly toward a stronghold and check that corridors, libraries, and the portal room are not intersected by ravines or flooded.

4. If you notice a stronghold still being disrupted, verify the mod is actually loaded and that you are looking at a stronghold generated after installation.

5. Avoid removing the mod from a world where you rely on intact strongholds, since future strongholds would generate without protection.

Keeping the mod present from world creation onward gives the most consistent results.
