How to Earn and Use Spanish Reales Coins

Finding Your First Coins

Spanish reales are the primary currency for trading with merchants in settlements. Your best early source is looting chests inside castles, cathedrals, and camps scattered across the overworld. Search storage rooms and treasure chambers thoroughly—these structures spawn with valuable loot including coins, ingots, and leather.

Trading with Merchants

Once you've collected reales, locate villagers wearing Spanish robes in towns and settlements. Approach them to open their trade menu. Merchants sell armor sets, weapons, tools, and useful survival items in exchange for coins. Different merchants may stock different inventories, so explore multiple settlements to find specific gear.

Spending Strategy

Prioritize purchases based on your needs: combat-focused players should buy muskets or rapiers early, while survival players might invest in armor sets first. Coins are renewable through continued looting, so don't hoard them—use them to upgrade your equipment as you progress through the mod's content.
