Use the Sneak-Look Method

When you want to quickly check how many health hearts your wolf has remaining, hold down the Sneak button (default: Shift) and look directly at your pet.

Read the Health Display

Without opening any menus, you'll see your wolf's exact health hearts displayed. This is faster than opening the full inventory menu and lets you monitor your companion's condition during combat or exploration.

When to Check Health

Use this feature after your wolf takes damage from mobs, fall damage, or other hazards. If your wolf is low on health, consider retreating to safety or feeding it to restore health points. This quick-check method keeps you aware of your pet's status while keeping your hands free for combat or building.
