How to Use the Bridge Building Gun

Loading the Gun

Craft the Bridge Building Gun along with its Gun Barrel, Gun Stock, and Bridge Building Gun Hook. The gun fires Rope Bridge blocks so you can span gaps from a distance instead of leaning over the edge. Put Rope Bridges in your inventory or a container the gun can pull from, then select the gun in your hotbar.

Firing and Aiming

Aim at the block face where the bridge should start and use the gun. It launches a bridge segment toward the target, letting you build across ravines, between towers, or over water without standing on the far side. The Hook component is what lets the shot anchor and pull the bridge into place, so make sure it is installed. If shots are not connecting, move closer or aim at a flatter surface. The Ladder Gun works the same way but places Rope Ladders instead, which is handy for climbing vertical walls. Keep spare Rope and bridges in your inventory so you do not run dry mid-span.
