How to Make Rope for Bridges and Ladders

Where Rope Comes From

Rope is the core ingredient for every Rope Bridge and Rope Ladder in the mod. It is crafted from string, so the fastest way to stock up is to farm string from spiders or harvest cobwebs. A mob farm or a spider spawner will keep you supplied. Once you have string, craft it into Rope in batches so you always have some on hand.

Budgeting Your Rope

Long bridges and tall ladders consume Rope quickly, so plan your build before you start placing. Count the blocks you need to cross or climb, then craft roughly that many bridge or ladder blocks plus a small buffer for mistakes. If you run short mid-build, stop and craft more rather than leaving a gap you might fall through. Keep a stack of Rope in your inventory whenever you explore, so you can improvise a bridge over an unexpected ravine or a ladder down a sudden drop. Rope is cheap once your string supply is steady, so do not hoard it.
