How to Choose the Right Wood Type for Your Bridge

Matching Your Build

The mod offers Rope Bridges and Rope Ladders in every standard wood type: Oak, Spruce, Birch, Jungle, Acacia, Dark Oak, Mangrove, Cherry, Bamboo, Crimson, Warped, and Pale Oak. Functionally they behave the same, so the choice is mostly cosmetic. Pick the wood that matches the surrounding build so the bridge blends in rather than standing out.

Nether and Themed Builds

Crimson and Warped variants are the natural fit for Nether builds, since their colors match the biome. Cherry and Pale Oak suit lighter, decorative builds, while Dark Oak and Spruce work well for rustic or medieval structures. Bamboo gives a lighter, more tropical look. If you are bridging between two different biomes or bases, you can mix wood types along the span for a patchwork effect, or keep one type for a clean line. Remember that the wood type only changes appearance, not strength or length, so feel free to choose purely on looks. Craft a few of each variant if you like to experiment.
