Explore Ocean Floors and Find Underwater Stone Layers
Ocean Floor Geology
Oceans in this mod feature realistic underwater stone formations. Instead of regular stone, ocean floors contain thick layers of clay,
shale, and ooze that create a distinct underwater landscape.
How to Explore and Mine Underwater
Step 1: Prepare for underwater mining. Bring a pickaxe, water breathing potions or helmet, and torches to light your way.
Step 2: Dive to the sea floor. Descend to the bottom of the ocean. You'll see layered deposits of clay, shale, and ooze instead of standard stone.
Step 3: Mine strategically. Clay and shale are softer than stone and mine faster. Ooze has its own properties. Collect what you need, but be aware of water flow and cave-ins.
Step 4: Look for deeper formations. Dig further down and you may find additional stone layers beneath the initial clay and shale deposits.
Step 5: Watch for volcanic areas. Near steep ocean cliffs, you might encounter the new volcanic mountain biomes, which contain different igneous rocks alongside the typical ocean floor stones.
Underwater mining is now more geologically authentic and offers unique resources not found on land.
