Identify Which Fish Spawn in Your Current Biome

Check Your Biome Type

Use F3 debug screen (Java Edition) or your map to identify your current biome. Each biome in the mod has its own fish roster. Knowing your biome type tells you which variants are available to catch.

Experiment with Fishing

Cast your line and observe what you catch. If you're seeing unfamiliar fish alongside standard Minecraft fish, those are the mod variants for your current location. Keep fishing to encounter all available types in that biome.

Travel for Variety

If you want to catch a specific variant you haven't seen, travel to different biome types. Biomes like oceans, rivers, swamps, and frozen areas each have distinct fish rosters. Exploring different terrain types ensures you'll encounter the full range of variants.

Document Your Findings

Consider keeping notes on which fish appear in which biomes as you explore. This helps you plan future fishing trips and makes collecting all 19 variants more efficient.
