Finding the Right Biomes

Each of the 19 fish variants spawns exclusively in specific biomes. To collect them all, you'll need to visit diverse environments across your world. Fish are biome-dependent, meaning a fish that spawns in a cold biome won't appear in a desert, even with identical water conditions.

Fishing Strategy

Bring a fishing rod to each biome type and cast into any water source—rivers, lakes, and oceans all work. Fish will appear in your catch alongside the standard Minecraft fish. Some biomes may require travel to less common terrain types, so consider exploring with a map or using creative mode scouting first.

Cooking and Storage

Once caught, cook your fish in a furnace or smoker. All cooked variants combine into a single stackable item, making it easy to store your collection without cluttering your inventory. This shared cooked item makes farming multiple variants practical for food production.
