Access your bestiary journal from your inventory or via a keybind. This tracks every fish species you've encountered and caught, displaying detailed information about each one.

Read Species Information

Each entry shows the fish's preferred habitat (river, lake, ocean, ice), ideal seasons, best times of day, and water depth preferences. Some fish are active at dawn, others at midnight. Some prefer cold winters, others warm summers. This data is essential for planning successful fishing trips.

Track Your Progress

The journal records how many of each species you've caught and their average size. As you catch more fish, your angler level increases and you unlock new skills in the skill tree. Higher levels improve your casting distance, line strength, and sensitivity.

Consult your bestiary before heading out. If you're struggling to catch something, check what conditions it needs—you might be fishing at the wrong time or in the wrong season.
