Adapt to Instant Shield Blocking (0 Tick Setting)

Understand the Gameplay Change

With instant blocking enabled (0 ticks), your shield raises the moment you right-click. This removes the vanilla delay entirely, making combat feel snappier but potentially overwhelming if you're used to the original timing.

Adjust Your Combat Rhythm

You'll need to relearn when to block. Since there's no delay, blocking becomes a pure reaction tool rather than something you predict. Practice blocking at the last moment before impact rather than early.

Watch for PvP Imbalance

Instant blocking can make you nearly invulnerable if you time blocks perfectly. In multiplayer, this might frustrate other players or give you an unfair advantage. Consider using 1 or 2 ticks instead if playing cooperatively.

Combine with Shield Knockback

Remember that blocking still doesn't negate knockback entirely—you'll be pushed back when hit. Use this to your advantage by positioning yourself so knockback moves you toward escape routes or allies.
