How to Craft and Use Your First Backpack

Gathering Materials

Before crafting, collect the materials specified in the mod's crafting recipes. Check your crafting table or JEI/NEI for the exact recipe layout, as backpack recipes typically involve leather, wool, or string components depending on your mod version.

Crafting Your Backpack

Arrange the materials in your crafting table according to the recipe. Once crafted, the backpack will appear in your inventory as a single item.

Opening Your Backpack

Place the backpack on the ground like you would a Shulker Box. Right-click on the placed backpack to open its storage interface. The backpack will display a grid of slots based on your mod's configuration settings (default rows and columns vary by setup).

Storing and Retrieving Items

Click items into the backpack's grid to store them. Click again to remove items. When you're finished, close the interface. Pick up the backpack by right-clicking it while sneaking, or simply break it with your tool. The backpack retains all stored items when picked up, making it perfect for transporting resources between locations.
