Troubleshooting ReShaded: Pack Not Showing, No Effect, or Wrong Look
Most ReShaded problems come down to file placement or pack order, not the pack itself.
Pack Won't Appear in the List
If ReShaded is missing from Resource Packs, the file is in the wrong place or the wrong format. Confirm it is a resource pack (not a world or datapack) and that it sits directly in the resourcepacks folder, not inside a nested subfolder. Reopen the menu after moving it.
Pack Is Selected but Nothing Looks Different
Another pack is likely overriding the same textures. Open Resource Packs and drag ReShaded *above* the competing pack, then reload textures with F3+T. Also check you are not running a shader or lighting mod, which replaces shading entirely and will hide ReShaded's effect.
The Look Is Too Flat or Too Bright
ReShaded deliberately removes harsh shadows, so some players find it flatter than expected. If it is too much, lower your in-game Brightness slider to compensate, or move ReShaded *below* another pack so that pack's shading takes priority. If only some blocks look off, that is a stacking conflict — reorder and reload until the mix looks right. Remember ReShaded changes appearance only, so any gameplay oddity is unrelated to it.
