How to Install and Activate ReShaded in Your Resource Pack List

ReShaded is a resource pack, so it lives in the same menu as your other texture packs. Getting it active is the whole "installation."

Placing the Pack

Open your Minecraft options and go to Resource Packs. If ReShaded does not appear in the left-hand list, it is not in the correct folder yet. Move the pack file into the resourcepacks folder inside your game directory, then return to the menu and it should show up. If you already see it listed, skip straight to enabling it.

Enabling and Ordering

Click the pack so it moves to the right-hand "Selected" column, then confirm. Because ReShaded only changes shading, you can stack it above or below other packs. Put it *above* any pack whose textures you want to keep but whose shadows you want softened, and *below* a pack that already handles its own lighting if you want that pack to win. Drag packs to reorder them.

Checking It Worked

Load a world and look at a wall or hillside. Faces that used to be dark should now read as evenly lit and brighter. If nothing changed, make sure no other pack is overriding the same textures and that ReShaded is actually in the Selected column, not just the Available one.
